RECREATIONAL VEHICLE INSPECTIONS & APPRAISALS PERFORMED NATIONWIDE by CERTIFIED RECREATIONAL VEHICLE APPRAISER.
There are 2 types of recreational vehicle inspections. One is to determine the sale or purchase of a pre-owned RV. With proper hook up available, the electrical systems, water and waste systems, chassis systems, propane systems safety systems, structure, leveling jack system, instrumentation generator, fluids, and much more will be analyzed and tested. External, interior and undercarriage will be inspected and observed.
If inspecting for a seller, they will receive a comprehensive report showing what to expect from other purchaser’s appraisers and have an accurate value in the market to properly list the vehicle for sale. When being inspected for a potentially interested vehicle purchaser, the wealth of knowledge supplied in the appraisal report, will most likely, along with the price, be the determining factor to purchase the RV or not.
The second type of appraisal is for the assessment of a diminished value dollar figure for litigation purposes. At this point the RV has been operated by the vehicle owner has had multiple major defects that were not disclosed at purchase, were not repaired or not repaired effectively, by the manufacturer or the dealer under an agreement or warranty coverage. We inspect your vehicle, review all documentation you provide, compare observations to industry standards and norms, and render a written opinion as to the value of the vehicle at the time of sale and current fair market value. These appraisals have nothing to do with depreciation. Diminished value compares the condition that the vehicle was in at the time of sale, to the condition the vehicle was in, based on observation and document review. Written reports and photographs are created for review by your attorney.
